Ford line up!
Ford :-P
Re: Ford line up!
Very nice pic ! Please let us know the models... The last
one seems to be a TW 10 ?

Re: Ford line up!
Hi David.

The first in the front of the picture is a Ford 6700 from
1978. Second one a 6710 from 84 with narrow wheels for
spraying in potatofields. Third one also a 6710 with 4wd and
Veto/Howard F-16 loader from 1985. The last as you said is a
Tw10 from 1980. This picure is taken around 1990. Shortly
afterwards the Tw got a Turbo, and it pulled and smoked like
a train:-D
Do you drive Ford yourself?

Re: Ford line up!
Hi JH !

I just can't imagine a TW smoking more than it already does

Yes, I drove some excellent Fords when I was a student. The
farm I worked in during summer time had a 6600 with front
loader (lovely tractor !), a 7910 FWD, a TW15 FWD and a TW

My favourite was the 7910, because of the real good gear
box, a nervous engine, and air conditionning not broken that
summer !

The TW 35 had a front hitch with a 29 teeths cultivator. You
can imagine the sport it was for the crossing roads in small
villages in Normandy !

(A small hello to my former boss if he reads that !)

Please do not hesitate to share here your photos, they are
very nice, and I'm very curious of a TW10 with Turbo !

All the best from France,

David :-D
Re: Ford line up!
Hi David.

So you seem to like Fords, that nice to hear!.
A Tw35 with a frontmounted harrow, what did you have
baehind it, a powerharrow or?
To be honest the Tw10 we had, was the best tractor we ever
had, and I have more happy memories with the Fords, than I
have with our current NHs, though they are good machines
Are you farming at your own now ?

Greeting from Denmark - JH
Re: Ford line up!
Hi JH !

If I remember correctly, the TW 35 had another cultivator
behind, a 32 teeth, or something like that. (It is 15 years
ago !)

Yes, I really like these Fords, I really enjoyed driving
them. But I'm not farming. I worked in farms when i was a
student, and sometimes in summertimes at my friend's farm.
He has Someca tractors (which are a French brand selling
Fiat and Laverda machinery like Hesston in USA). And the
last field I tilled was with his 1000.

Which NH do you have now ?

Re: Ford line up!
Hi David.

Someca, is that an old french brand, that Fiatagri took
over, or how is the story of that brand?
Currently we are down to 3 tractors and one backhoe. Ford
8340 from 94, NH TM165 from 2000, 8670 from 99, all with
frontlink, and the TM frontpto as well. The backhoe is a
Ford 655D from 93.
I like the tractors, but in a "strange" way my passion is
somewhat bigger when it comes to the Ford´s, maybe thats why
I like the old 8340 (7300hours) most of them all!!!!
Are your current work realted to farming now David?

Laters JH;-)
Re: Ford line up!
Hi JH !

Yes Someca is a French brand now disapeared in Fiatagri's
archives... (as Société Française with Case) I'll try to
post here some small history of that brand in the coming

Your new blue'brothers team sounds interesting ! do you have
any pic of them ? I really like the design of the 8670, is
it a good tractor ? I've heard only good things on it.

I do not see many 8.40 in my area. May be not very good
sales ?!? Or I have to change my glasses ? :-P

Do you have other pics of your TW ?

I'm not working in farm. But I'm passionned of it, and plans
to buy my first tractor in the coming years, for collection.

All the best from France,
