I've never seen these machines "live", but, as Jim said;
they look beasty. Because I've never seen one, I wish some
of You will post some close up pictures of interior, engines
and so on.....Please!!!
You can't call them pretty, but if they are reliable and
strong, who cares :-)

By the way: Where are they built? engine type, Hp, Weight,
year, etc. And in what countries can you find these

Re: Fortschritt ZT 303 E
IFA-Fortschritt is an east german brand that didn't survive
the fall of the iron curtain.

Fortschritt always used big engines at low revolutions, 6.5
liter 4 pots and 9.75 liter six pots. These engines were a
co-development with Mercedes-bens who used the 9.75 liter
six inline and a 13 liter V8 in their trucks and also sold
them as industrial engines.

The Fortschritt choppers were bought by Mengele (west
germans), and suddenly the IFA-Fortschritt engine was
replaced by an IFA-MB (mercedes benz) engine.

Many western people rejected this brand but a big number of
them is still in use, mainly in Eastern Germany.
