Re: Normag???,
It existed.
My grandpa got himself an old normag 2 cylinder engine half
a year ago. It´s huge engine with 25hp and looks more like
an engine for ships but I think he told me that it was also
used in tractors.

Re: Normag!!!,
Hi,
Normag (Nordhauser Maschinenbau AG) built its first tractors
in the 30ies. In WWII production stopped, and the factory
was in the soviet zone. They restarted in Hattingen/Ruhr in
west germany amd built a variety of light tractors like so
many companies of that time. A speciality was the air-cooled
1cylinder 2stroke diesel in some models. Unlike the famous
Lanz, it was a real Diesel and had an oil sump. It had an
extra compressor cylinder that delivers fresh air to the
main cylinder. I have a Normag K12a in good original
condition.
In 1957 Normag was bought out by Orenstein&Koppel and
tractor production was stopped.
Have a look at:

Take care, countryman

Re: Normag???,
In 1946 Normag restartet in the small village Zorge in the
southern part of the Harz mountains. Zorge is only 20 km
away from Nordhausen, but after WW II it was on the other
side of the inner-german frontier. In the 50s production was
transferred to Hattingen/Ruhr.
