Re: Doe triple D
how do you shift gear on both tractors at the same time?
Re: Doe triple D
i think it just has one gearbox and the two motors have the
same transmission...
Re: Doe triple D
No this is two complete tractors, and the only gear shifting
the driever could do on the front tractor from the
"backseat", was the high/low, who had some link rod. With
High/low in neutral, he had to walk round to the front
tractor to select gear.....The clutch was hydraulic operated
from the clutchpedal on the rear tractor...

vite mer på norsk, så send meg en mail
Re: Doe triple D
By the time this tractor was produced, the driver could
change ALL gears from the back tractor;-)
Re: Doe triple D
yes, thats right
Re: Doe triple D
perhaps there is a log stick from the back to the front

or a lot of wires and rolls, so that u could manage to
change gears from the back *lol* :-D
Re: Doe triple D
The gears were changed by a hydraulic system comprised of
slave and master cylinders, connected by oil pipes. When the
driver moved the gear lever on the back one, it moved the
master cylinders which transferred the movement to the slave
cylinders on the front tractor. One set of cylinders
controlled over and back movement, and the other pair was
for up and down. Apparently it was still quite tricky
though, and the front tractor could still get stuck in gear,
or worse!
