Re: 2003 Kansas Corn Harvest (660 Demo)
Beautifull pictures. Did it perform better then you first
thought? Did it throw much out the back? How was the corn
yielding? Any problems? Hope this isn't too many questions?

Take care,

Re: 2003 Kansas Corn Harvest (660 Demo)
We were more in the market for the Challenger 670 or MF
9790, when we got the chance to demo the 660. It preformed
well against our R-62. It seemed to have a little more
separation capacity but it might take more work to make a
perfectly clean sample. Hard to beat the Gleaner. Over all
I think it is a very good Machine. It is very simple but
also well thought out.

The 670 or 9790 have a 11 inch increase in feederhouse/shoe
width, 2 pumps on the rotor drive, and 55 more horses. (over
the 660/9690)

I also like the Challenger version because of the Cat C9
motor and the diff. in tin work.

Thanks for replying. Ya they do look nice with the different
styling. We'll never see a Cat Challenger here in Ontario
Canada. The Cat dealer that has the Challenger Licence for
Ontario is all the way in Manitoba. And there not coming to
Ontario. Oh well.

Take care.
