Re: 7810
Why are most tractors over seas have implements in the front
and back? Here in the USA we only pull our implements from
the rear. Are the implements not as large as ours? Thanks,
Robert

Re: 7810
this is because:
hear in britain we have smaller fields than u but because of
this we dont want to use 2,3 or even 4 tractors to do a 30
or 40 acre field because we wont make a profit in the USA
where u have large fields u are perpared to use more than 2
tractors so u might have a tractor with a huge plow, one
with a huge power harrow and another with a huge drill, hear
in england we cant use this many tractors because we cant
afford it so some bright spark decided to use 1 tractor for
2 jobs although doing this limits the width of your power
harrow or sowin machine because 1 tractor is usin 2 or 3
implements this doesnt matter because our fields. I
PERSONALLY AM A DICK UP TO THE SYSTEM COS I CANT AFFORD A
COMBINATION SO I USE MANY TRACTORS WHICH A NON PROFITABLE
ORGANISATION FOR EXAMPLE:
we use a MF 399 to plow 5 furrow a MF 298 behind with a 3
metre crumbler, a 290 behind that with another crumbler, a
185 behind that with a 3 metre sowin machine and a 165
behind that with a roller but this is very expensive usually
in england most people use: large tractor with 6 or 7 furrow
plough then a large tractor behind that with disks on the
front, power harrow underneath the seed drill and a flat
roller behind that so u use 2 tractors to dot he whole job
in 1 go because we only have fields like 20- 70 acres big

Re: 7810
Thanks for the explanation. At least you can do more in one
trip. Maybe we should do that here instead of so many
tractors or large equipment.
