rest in pieces
Deutz DX 160
A few years ago when it was driving on a road some drunken
guy drove his car into the left rear wheel of the tractor.
As a result the right front wheel hit a tree and the front
axle broke. The transmission housing broke too.
Luckily the driver was not injured.
Re: rest in pieces
Hmm... Nobody wants to use this engine for an irrigation
pump, or even tractor pulling if you can close the gap in
the gear housing where once the front axle cardan shaft was
Re: rest in pieces
The problem is that a lot of farmers want to pay very little
when they buy a machine but when they sell it they want a
lot more then it is actually worth(even if it´s broken):-D
Also we neither have any crops in this area that need
aditional irrigation nor is there a very big tractor pulling
Re: rest in pieces
why would you put a pail on the exaust? lol the tractors
obviously not goin no where, why worry bout that? lol :P
Re: rest in pieces
The engine is still ok and maybe someday someone will need a
spare engine for a deutz dx 140 or dx 160 (and will pay
enough money):-D
Re: rest in pieces
Why you don't repair the tractor?

If the guilty was the guy that drove the car, her
assegurance is obligate to pay the injury. No?
Re: rest in pieces

Re: rest in pieces
Yes the insurance paid but why pay nearly 20000€ to repair a
tractor that was bought for only 5000€? My uncle and bought
another tractor with the insurance money.
