Tuned Deere 5020
this is a John Deer 5020 with more than 300 hp. The
original engine was replaced by "Kinze" with a Cummins.
Looks powerful. But I think you can´t get all the power to
the ground without 4 WD and/or duals.

Re: Tuned Deere 5020
I do not know this tractor personally but that motor is not
a Cummins. It looks to be a GM 8V-71 ,2 cycle diesel that at
stock spec put out 300-318hp.

Re: Tuned Deere 5020
That is not a cummins engine. It is a 8V-71 Detroit with
318hp. I had a neighbor who had one. It had 24.5-32 duals
with wheel wieghts and fluid in the tires. They pulled 43
feet of deep tillage cultivator in southern Saskatchewan,
Canada.

I believe this tractor belongs to John Kinzebzum of Kinze
MFG of Iowa.

Re: Tuned Deere 5020
Kinze put these V-8 Detroit Diesel with a big blower in
these tractors, think only 100 were ever converted. This
picture is out of a book called New Generation of Power.
