Re: ford & mengele
Mengele hayloaders once were very popular over here. I
believe they merged with EMP (Eberhardt-Mengele
Productions): .

Maybe someone from germany knows about a possible connection
with nazi Josef Mengele.
Re: ford & mengele

seems that non of the other germans in here wants to answer.
Well, I'll try - I think one has to do what is not so

Yes, as far as I know the Nazi Mengele is a Member of the
Mengele Family with the agricultural mashine factory. But I
think the Father of him was a Brother of the one that owned
the Firm that time.

There is a lot various and quite good equipment of Mengele
to see pictures of it in here. Not only that single forage
harvester. I don't know, if all the other guys in here just
don't know about, or did yust not (want) to question that

I think the heyloaders and the forage harvesters were the
most populat products of them and also the products that
they sold a lot not only in Germany.

The firm was locatet in Günzburg, not far away from me.
Other firms are Deutz in Lauingen and Fendt in Bäumenheim.

As far as I know, the part of the family, that owned the
firm were no special activ Nazis (as far as possible that
time!) but many years later they had to suffer the effect of
things they were not responsible for at all - They had just
the "wrong" name. And in times when they came in problems it
was a little bit harder to sell the products and get credit
from the banks with that name. Those Problem is not made in
Germany - it is importet!

So, to come to an end, I think that the products were very
good and if they had sold and run the firm with any
(fantasy-)name, it would perhaps still exist!!! History is
sometimes very unfair.
