Cane harvester
This is a different (older)system. This machine puts the
stalks on the ground.
Re: Cane harvester
After setting the field on fire they load the stalks with
this machine. It pushes till it has a bundle and than loads
it on the trailer.
Re: Cane harvester
Then they load the crop on to the truck. If it is close to
the sugerfactoty they'll take it with the tractor.
Re: Cane harvester
Unloading at the sugarfactory. The yellow hoist tips the
trailers. There's no tippingcillinders on them.
Re: Cane harvester
This is a trailer with cane harvested by the old system. The
stalks are not chopped up. There's chains in the bottom of
the trailer and to unload the hoist puls up the chains. So
the trailer doesn't tip like the one loaded with chopped
cane on the other picture.
Re: Cane harvester
hey Bart
what percentage of sugar have in the cane ?? . what's the
production per hectare ??
Re: Cane harvester
Hi Jose,

I don't know anything about yields and sugarpercentages in
cane. I worked in America, driving combine and truck for a
custom harvester and travelled trough the south with a
Danish college. We did talk with a canefarmer but I never
asked about yields. Do you have an idea of how much suger/ha
is normal in cane. Around were I worked in Holland they have
around 80 tons sugerbeet/ha with around 15% sugar so that's
around 12 ton sugar/ha. Would it be more with sugarcane?
Re: Cane harvester
hey Bart
I not know the sugar cane production per hectare , here in
spain only planter sugar cane in a small zone in
mediterraneo coast in granada and almeria .
the production of beet in irrigation land between 80 and
120tm/ha .
the produccion of beet in dryland between 30 and 50tm/ha
(plant in October harvest in June only in the south of spain
) .
Re: Cane harvester
