President Dwight (Ike) Eisenhower's Tractor
In 1950 Ike Eisenhower Bought a farm on the civil war battlefeild at Gettysburg. I'm not sure when he was made president of the USA I should have looked it up!! Anyway this farm was his home til he died -- in 1955 the Cockshutt # 40 Black Hawk was given to him and I know the man that has it now!!

Wow great photos and thread Mark.

I love history and would love to be able to jump in the car and drive to this farm. There is certainly a lot of history in your area.

The Confederate and Union armies must have walked this ground. Gettysburg was I believe one of the deadliest battles if not the dealiest during the civil war. **==

Honest Abe and Ike I salute you both. **== **==

Have you heard the latest. The Fiat Group is setting up a diifferent company "Fiat Industrial S.p.A.” which will control the 90% of the shares that they own in CNH. Here is the press relaease:

http://www.fiatgroup.com/en-us/mediacentre/press/Documents/2010/FIAT_BOARD_APPROVES_THE_DEMERGER.pdf

But the best that could happen to CNH is if the Fiat Group sold it's shaers in CNH. I am not sure of what kind of debt load this new company will carry and no I wouldn't be surprised of a bankruptcy.
