JD self propelled
Lifting a 6m swath. 30th May 2003. Harvester belongs to
contractor but the tractor and trailer belong to me.

yeah silage is the time to get the big machinery out. Here
is a pic of our own tractor and harvester.

i have a question about the JF?.. can you handle large
capacities with the pulled-type harvester?

Trailed foragers have the potential to put as much crop
through as self propelled machines in grass. They tend to be
more limited in maize though and that is where a self
propelled machine comes into its own. The output depends on
the size of the tractor and side loading. Trailed machines
are popular with contractors in the north of England where
very little maize is grown.
