Re: Vaia dumper
Hi Ken,
horsepower are never enought! Tw 25 is a good tractor but to
pull this dumper, for example loads of manure, it needs
about 200 hp.
Moreover, the bad gear not help us on the asphalt road, and
to climb a fly-over bridge is a problem, because you can to
shift-down only an half speed in running.

Re: Vaia dumper
Hi Mathieu,
behind the Tw 25 there is an old Lamborghini 1056 mfwd
tractor, with a 2 axles Grazioli trailer.
Lamborghini engine is aircooled and machine has a lot of
hours on the counter so we use it only to move ours trailers
in the farm.
The other machine you can seeat your left is a Claas Sf 80
forage harvester with Deutz V-10 aircooled engine: it's
still well run, but we have a younger Jaguar 690 Sl, so we
put it on show in order to sell it.

greetings from Italy.

Hi Wouter,
where are you from?
If you come in Italy, we need a drive-teacher to show us how
use the Tw's gear!

Re: Vaia dumper
Wouter, i love too this machine, every summer i work 2
months, everyday with the Tw, in following forage harvester
and then for the mais and soy-beans harvesting, but the gear
of this machine is very rude: i don't know how works the
powershift version of this, or maybe our gear have some
problem. Last november we open the Tw's gear-box, in order
to resolve these problems, but never is changed on our TW.
How many hours have your tractors, and what model of Tw do
you have?

Re: Vaia dumper
Sandro it´s the way your grandpa shifted gear. First you
pull the clutch and set the gearbox in free. let the clutch
free and give gas. Then pull the clutch again and set the
gearbox in the next gear. You must then give so much gas
that the RPM of the engine aproxionately corresponds with
the speed of the tractor in that gear setting.

Older drivers say: a good driver needs the clutch pedal just
to get going and changing direction.

Wouter, eb k t so goe uitgeleg?

Re: Vaia dumper
Hi Frank,
I already knew this way to change the gears, because i use
too an old Fiat 682N4 truck with 2 gear's levers and my ears
usually hear the engine's RPM everyday.
I wanted only say that it's very tiresome, specially when
you pass many hours in a day to drive TW's on the road.
Case's and Deere's powershift are too pleasant to use.

Re: Vaia dumper
Frank, Sandro and Wouter,

On our Ursus C-385 A (the polish equivalent of the Zetor
8045) i only used the clutch to shift up. Downshift was:
release the throttle, pull it out of gear, start revving up,
and then gently put the gear stick to the gear, untill it
ticks a little. Then make more revolutions till the ticking
is slow. then apply a little pressure to the gear stick till
it grabs in.

I think these 8045 boxes were easier to shift than the Ford
6700 i drove...

Re: Vaia dumper
I tried that once with my uncle´s Fendt 615 and it didn´t
turn out that bad except the tractor was a little jumping
forward when pushing in the gear so I didn´t continue doing
it but with a little practice I´m shure it works fine on
unsynchronized transmissions.

Re: Vaia dumper
Einachser, doing this on a synchro tranny, will hurt the
synchromesh rings, i am told..:-\ ;-)
