Re: Trioliet Solomix 3 4600-VL
Looks like a copy of a peacon if you ask me. The europeans
always make the best stuff. But the Irish make better stuff
ie the Keenen Diet feeder. Mr Keenen went to america and
seen your feeder wagans and brough one over to Ireland but
unfortunately it was a very bad design old american crap. So
he went about designing a feeder wagen with the bearings on
the outside and so we got the Keenen feeder. Far better than
american crap.

This is not a copy off Peecon. It's develloped by Trioliet
from Holland. The Peecon wagons don't have a chain conveyer
at front. It's from a better quallity than Peecon.

Re: Trioliet Solomix 3 4600-VL
actually, i have a few reasons why the keenan mixers are
crap, we feed once a day in the morning for 700+ cows, it
takes us about 4 hours one guy with a new holland tm155 with
a keenan 200(i think) its the biggest keenan mixer. and a
cat 924g verselink, i bet we have broken 50 shear bolts in
the last 2 months that we had the stupid mixer, befor this
mixer we had a vertical mixer from patz, way better machine,
befor that we rented a vertical penta mixer, it was still a
better mixer, and befor that we had a knight real auggie,
but it burnt in a barn fire.

but on x-mas morning we broke 7 shear bolts, 2 mornings
befor that a piece of a knife broke of(it was replaced that
same day) but it still doesn't chew up the hay nicely, the
only good thing i can say about the mixer is that you can
keep the mixer running whit out the mixer turning into mush.

Re: Trioliet Solomix 3 4600-VL
I will teach you bragging boys a bit of history:

AGM (Unifast) of Italy was the inventor of the vertical
mixer feeder, in the early 80's. They also had self
propelled, self loading machines.
http://www.cornesag.com/eng/agri/166-MixerFieder.html

Trioliet had them before Peecon. Trioliet was the first to
introduce a traditional cut saw loading system on the
vertical mixers. Peecon, as an answer to Trioliet's move,
was the first to introduce an economical load bucket to load
loose materials and silage blocks that are pre-cut with a
traditional silage block cutter.

Re: Trioliet Solomix 3 4600-VL
Yes renze they might have but keenen is a paddle feeder. A
paddle feeder will not take the crap adrian is putting in it
were as a vertical feeder will take anything you put in it.
But a paddle feeder will mix the solids better.
