Hamachek Pea Combines
A crew of Family Tradition Foods' (Tecumseh, Ontario) pea
machines lined up ready for a road move. This fleet
consisted of 3 rubber tracked and 6 rubber tire Frank
Hamachek combines. The picture was taken in 1998 near
Bothwell, Ontario, Canada.

That recolte these machines
Re: Hamachek Pea Combines
Nice shots blake, were you a driver or a mechanic as I
understand these machines needed a great deal of service
support! Not trying to sound negative but, anytime we
harvested alongside `hammers`,they wern`t overly productive
and leaked a lot of hydraulic oil.To be fair ,those machines
where probably old and lacked proper maintnance.I was told
that the track systems were a great deal of trouble?Nice to
see someone else from Ontario post some pictures.I wish
Icould translate what those guys from Europe where saying!
Re: Hamachek Pea Combines
Great pics. What year are these machines and are they still
in use? I've seen one other tracked machine in New York, it
was replaced in 2000 with a Byron SP9500. From what I heard
the tracks had problems and the whole machine required alot
of upkeep. Fmc's and Byrons are all thats left in NY. The
same crew that had the "hamma" is getting a Legacy this
spring. Oxbo is making 12 of them along with 8 FMC 156's.
Are there alot of Byrons around that area?
