Yes it was a very good experience to drive the 3 combines. I am used to the JD 9870STS combine so the S690, 9090 and 9120 combines were all new to me. I pushed the S690 up to 7.5 mph and it had no problems, no losses and good sample. The other 2 could not do that and the 9120 had losses at a much lower speed. The 9090 ran out of power with me while unloading on a little uphill part of the field. The S690 is also unloading very fast and you can see the unloading auger a lot easier from the cab than the other 2. The S690's cab is excellent and I like the layout of the controls more than the other 2. The chopper/spreader on the 9120 is not good and a lot worse than the other 2. I do not know the new Case IH 9230 but the JD S690 is by far superior to the 9090 and 9120. The S690 is a very high capacity combine and will be too big for small and medium farms.
