Steeling Eggs
I think this is a king snake. We have 2 more in our yard
that I know of for sure. This one we caught and took into
the woods. I din't want her to kill the baby chicks that had
just hatched. Picture taken May 17, 2004.
Re: Steeling Eggs
Kadee, why didn't you kill the snake? it poisionous?
Re: Steeling Eggs
This snake is not poisonous, she eats mostly rodents and as
you can see eggs, but she also can kill other snakes even
poisonous ones, like rattle snakes! There are quite a bit of
Rattle Snakes around here. I have not encountered one of
them other than at the "Rattle Snake Round Up" in Claxton GA
and in Zoos and I hope I never do.
This snake I am adding with this post lives in my workshop
and I am hoping it will take care of my squirrel problem I
have there naturally. The squirrels have taken over, they
love to make nests out of the glass wool insolation. I have
5 squirrel nests in there. :-(
